Conditions such as Otitis media with Effusion (Glue Ear) is when the middle ear becomes filled with thick fluid.

This is caused by the Eustachian Tube becoming blocked meaning air cannot pass through the middle ear.

In many cases Glue Ear will clear up within 3 months but for some the condition lasts longer, risking long-term issues, particularly in children.
